2. Eligibility to Purchase

To purchase any parrot or bird-related product from ParrotPatch.com, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.

  • Reside in the United Kingdom.

  • Agree to our delivery, payment, and care policies.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet these requirements.


3. Animal Welfare & Buyer Responsibility

At Parrot Patch, bird welfare is our top priority. We expect all buyers to:

  • Provide a safe, clean, and spacious environment for their parrot.

  • Have the time, financial means, and knowledge to care for an exotic bird.

  • Follow proper dietary and health guidelines (provided post-purchase).

Failure to provide adequate care may result in refusal of future sales.


4. Pricing and Payments

All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and are subject to change without notice. The final price of each bird may vary depending on species, age, sex, DNA test results, and availability. Terms and Conditions

  • PayPal (with applicable fees)

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a bird. Terms and Conditions


5. Availability and Reservations

Our parrots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Birds can be reserved with a minimum deposit of 25%. Once reserved, the parrot will be held exclusively for the customer for a set time (typically 7–14 days).

If the balance is not paid within the agreed period, the bird may be relisted, and the deposit forfeited. Terms and Conditions


6. Nationwide Parrot Delivery UK

Parrot Patch offers safe and legal UK-wide delivery using DEFRA-approved animal couriers.

Customers will:

  • Be informed of delivery dates ahead of time.

  • Receive real-time updates from the courier.

  • Be expected to collect the bird upon arrival.

Delivery fees vary by location and bird type. While we strive to ensure stress-free transport, we are not liable for minor delays due to courier issues or extreme weather.


7. Health Guarantees

All parrots sold by Parrot Patch:

  • Are vet-checked and healthy at the time of sale.

  • Come with a health record and, when applicable, DNA certificate.

  • Have been fed a balanced diet of pellets, fruits, and vegetables.

Buyers must take the bird to an avian vet within 72 hours of delivery/pickup to confirm its health. Failure to do so voids any health guarantee. Terms and Conditions


8. Ownership & Documentation

Upon full payment, ownership of the bird is legally transferred to the buyer. Parrot Patch will provide:

  • A signed sales receipt.

  • DNA certification (if purchased with DNA test).

  • Basic care guide.

9. Use of the Website

You agree not to:

  • Use ParrotPatch.com for any unlawful purpose.

  • Copy, scrape, or distribute content from the website without permission.

  • Misrepresent yourself when contacting us or placing an order.

Violation of these terms may result in account termination or legal action.

🔁 Refund and Return Policy – Parrot Patch UK

At Parrot Patch, we take great pride in providing healthy, hand-raised parrots to customers across the UK. Due to the sensitive nature of live animals, our refund and return policy is designed to protect both the welfare of the birds and the rights of the customer.


1. Live Animal Sales Are Final

Because parrots are living animals, all sales are final once the bird has been collected or delivered. We do not accept returns due to:

  • Change of mind

  • Personal circumstances

  • Compatibility issues with other pets

  • Allergies

Please ensure you are fully prepared for the responsibility of owning a parrot before purchase.


2. Deposits Are Non-Refundable

A non-refundable deposit (typically 25% of the parrot’s price) is required to reserve a bird. This covers:

  • Initial care and feeding

  • DNA testing (if requested)

  • Holding the bird exclusively for you

In cases where the buyer cancels the order, the deposit will not be refunded.


3. Refunds for Health Issues (Rare)

If a parrot is found to be medically unfit within 72 hours of pickup/delivery (as verified by a registered avian vet), the following options may be offered:

  • Full refund (excluding delivery fees)

  • Exchange for another parrot of equal value

  • Credit towards a future purchase

Conditions apply:

  • Must provide written vet documentation within 72 hours

  • Bird must not be injured or exposed to other pets

  • Bird must not have been mishandled or neglected

Parrot Patch reserves the right to consult with our own avian vet before issuing any refund or replacement.


4. Delivery Charges Are Non-Refundable

Delivery is provided through licensed pet couriers. Once a bird is in transit, delivery costs cannot be refunded, even if the buyer refuses to accept the parrot upon arrival.


5. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand life can be unpredictable. If you encounter serious issues (bereavement, illness, financial hardship), we may consider:

  • Taking the parrot back under our rehoming program

  • Rehoming assistance (not a refund)

Each case is handled individually and at our discretion.


6. Fraud Prevention & Legal Compliance

We document all bird handovers and deliveries to prevent fraudulent claims. Video proof, signed receipts, and courier verification are standard practice at Parrot Patch.
